About the team

The LIRIS XR team is part of the ORIGAMI research group of the LIRIS laboratory. Our team relies on the virtual reality equipment of the ENISE - Centrale Lyon technology platform located at St-Etienne, France. We conduct cutting edge research on virtual reality and develop the SensoXR platform.

Our research interests lie in the areas of Virtual, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality, with a large spectrum including immersive polysensory experiences, user behavior analysis, objective/subjective visual quality assessment. Our overall objective is to better understand and improve the quality of user experience in immersive 3D applications, by proposing new algorithms and devices, as well as experimental human studies. We believe in open science and are regular providers of public datasets, open-source software, and open hardware. Our main target applications are cultural heritage, exposure therapy and immersive learning.
